As part of a graphic design studio course, I designed promotional ads, recipe cards, and an app prototype for an anti-food wastage campaign. During my research, I found that produce does not make it to stores mainly due to being ugly. Regardless of being completely edible, if a vegetable had an irregular shape or a blemish or two, it would not be sold in grocery stores. Thus my campaign strives to rewrite our thinking about eating ugly produce and to discourage food waste.
